What is the history of the Boland Survey?
The first Survey was conducted in 1997 by Peter T. Boland and Associates (PTBA). In 2015 PTBA entered into an agreement to transfer the Boland Survey to the Calgary Chamber of Voluntary Organizations (CCVO). The Survey and all related properties are now managed and administered by CCVO.
When can I complete the Boland Survey?
The Survey is open from June to September with reports available at the end of October. Data collection for the 2017 Survey will begin on June 1.
How do I participate in the Boland Survey?
Please fill out the online registration form. When the Survey opens, data submission packages including your user id and password will be emailed to the contact person on the registration form. Organizations must submit their data by September 1.
How do I purchase a report?
Please see the Reports Page for information about eligibility and purchasing reports.
Will our data be identifiable in the report?
No. We carefully protect participant data and report only aggregated statistics to ensure that no participant data can be identified.
How do I recommend a position I would like to see included in future Surveys?
If you have a position you would like to submit for consideration, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
- Current position title (in your organization);
- Brief description of the position incuding who the position reports to, what responsibilities/duties are expected, and what education/training is required; and
- Suggested category to place this position under.
While not all positions can be included, this information will help us determine what area(s) we should be expanding into for future survey years.
